open-bibleI. God

There is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. God is all powerful and all knowing. His perfect knowledge extends to all things, past, present, and future. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

II. God the Father:

1. We believe there is only one true and living God, the God of the Bible:
(Genesis 1:1-31, Exodus 20:2)

2. We believe God is all knowing, all powerful, omnipresent, and eternal:
(Psalm 139:7-12, Isaiah 57:15)

3. We believe that God is just and holy and cannot stand evil or sin:
(Just: Deuteronomy 10:17-18, Revelation 19:2)
(Holy: Leviticus 11:44, Isaiah 6:3, Revelation 4:8 and 15)

III. Jesus the Son:

1. We believe Jesus is God’s son, born of a virgin and part of the holy trinity:
(Matthew 1:18-25, John 1:1-18)

2. We believe he lived a perfect life without sin, the only person to have ever done this: (2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Peter 2:22, 1 John 3:5)

3. We believe he purposefully died, was buried, and rose from the dead three days later, and that his death atoned all of our sins: (John 19:28-20:10, Luke 23:44-24:35, Mark 10:32-34)

4. We believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven and a right relationship with God:(John 14:6)

IV.  The Holy Spirit:

1. The Holy Spirit is the third part of the Trinity. God’s presence in us. Also known as the helper:
(Luke 24:49, Acts 1:4 and 5, Acts 2:1-4)

2. The Holy Spirit gives us guidance and knowledge for how to live correctly:
(Galatians 5:22-24, Romans 8:26)

3. We receive the Holy Spirit when we accept Jesus as our savior. He is the proof or mark of our salvation:
(2 Corinthians 1:21-22)

V. The Scriptures

1. The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God’s revelation of Himself to man. (2 Timothy 3:15-17)

VI. The Trinity

1. The Trinity consists of God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. Each having its own unique function but all work together as one true God:
(John 1:1-18, Matthew 28:19)

VII. Salvation

We believe salvation is given by the grace of God to all who put their faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for us at the cross.  God gave His Son to die in our place (we have earned death through our sins- Romans 6:23) and has paid the price or atonement for our sins.  It is Jesus’ resurrection that reveals His divine nature and power as well as our ability to rise with Him and live eternally with Him in Heaven!
